Controlling Your Anger

Anger management বা রাগ ব্যবস্থাপনা কথাটির অর্থ হল, রাগ কে নেতিবাচক কিংবা ক্ষতিকারক ভাবে প্রকাশ না করে ইতিবাচক ভাবে প্রকাশ করা, যাতে নিজের ভেতর কোন অস্বস্তিকর অনুভুতিও না থাকে, আবার ব্যাপারটি শারীরিক, মানসিক, অথবা সামাজিক দিক থেকেও ক্ষতিকারক না হয়।

রাগ খুবই স্বাভাবিক একটি আবেগ, যেটা আমি আপনি সহ প্রতিটি মানুষের মধ্যেই আছে। শুধু তফাতটা হলো, আমরা কেউ রাগটাকে খুব সুন্দর করে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারি, আবার কেউ হয়তবা এ ব্যাপারে অতটা দক্ষ নই।

আমাদের ভেতর যে পরিমাণেই এই রাগ নামক আবেগটি থাকুক না কেন, এর ইতিবাচক প্রকাশ এবং স্বাস্থ্যসম্মত ব্যবস্থাপনা কিন্তু খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি বিষয়। নয়তো কখনো, কোন এক সময় হয়ত এই অনিয়ন্ত্রিত রাগই যেমন আমাদের সাস্থের জন্য হানিকারক হয়ে দাঁড়াবে, তেমন আমাদের সুস্থ পারিবারিক সম্পর্কও বিনষ্ট করবে।

Stress Management during Corona Pandemic

Stress management is always essential for the healthy living and wellbeing. Right now, we’re dealing with unprecedented circumstances and adjusting to life during a global pandemic. This current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is a particular and rare situation. It is affecting people physically as well as psychologically. In this type of context, many people will experience stress and other mental health issue. Stress is a normal physiological response to an abnormal situation. But sudden and rapid life changes can create severe stress, like what’s happening during this outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19). There are things you can do to get a grip on that stress. Finding a way to manage your stress at that situation will develop your resources and make you strong, so that this current stressful situation doesn't get the best of you.

There are evidence-based approaches to help you manage your stress during Corona Pandemic. Acquiring this knowledge and skill will help in better understand the situation and ensuring a healthy this stressful situation. We are going to organize the first online workshop on “Stress management During Corona Pandemic” which will include –

1. Current scenario and how we can protect ourselves

2. The detailed information of stress

3. Basic information on the relationship between stress and mental health

4. Development of positive coping skills

5. How to discipline a child’s behaviour 6. Stress management

7. When to seek Psychiatric Consultation

Screen Addiction

‘Screen addiction’ is a term that we are seeing more and more often in the media, and has been used to denote various types of screen-related bad behaviours. 

 

Why should we care? Because screens are also refashioning our minds.

 

Our minds are being overhauled by screens, and more specifically, the perpetually connected, superficial world they open to us. Mentally, moments of peace and solitude are few and far between. Our minds are devoid of quiet nooks. There’s nowhere to flee that is free of noise and distraction.

 

In many cases, this screen-induced overhaul of the mind is changing the way our brains work, the way we absorb and digest information, the quality of our thinking—and ultimately, the nature of our lives.

 

In this workshop, we will address the following issues. 

- Perils of Screen Addiction

- Impact of Screen Addiction on mental health

- Dealing with Screen Addiction in children
